Abstract: The research subject focuses on gender diversity on boards and its impact on managerial performance and governance efficiency. Women presence on board can shed the light on cognitive and informational skills that can be beneficial for boards and the company itself. The literature review has elaborated determinants that deal with the research statement. A qualitative approach has been adopted. A semi-guided interview technique was adopted in order to seize seven women directors' perceptions. The data was treated was Nvivo software. The findings interpretation and discussion led for the establishment of five research propositions that centres on women contribution on managerial performance and governance efficiency.
