Abstract: The article presents a study of organisation of oversized cargo transportation of a group of logistics transport companies operating in the Russian freight transportation market. The focus is on road transport, as the most demanded in Russian regional transportation. We report on the methodology and strategies for improving the organisation of oversized cargo transportation in regional trade. The specifics of the study lie in the fact that we focused on the features of oversized transportation specifically for logistics organisations serving the interests of trading companies. The developed methodology and proposed strategies presented in the article are necessary and in demand for organising and implementing complex oversized cargo transportation in modern conditions of the freight market. The results can be useful for managers working in transport logistics, as our study illustrates an effective combination of strategies, as well as the impact and role of improving efficiency in this industry.
