Abstract: This paper presents high frequency cable modelling and analysis of cable. Advantages of dodecagonal space vector switching and two-level inverters are achieved with a constant input DC supply. An improved high-frequency power cable is connected between the drive and induction motor to measure the harmonic distortion and reflected overshoot voltage at the motor terminal. The results have confirmed that the present method has very high frequency and time domain. This model is used to predict the effect of long cables for any space vector pulse width modulation technique (SWPWM), the six-step two-level voltage inverter fed induction machines. The harmonic distortion from low to high frequency switching from this SVPWM technique is estimated and results are compared. For different range of frequencies, the cable equivalent circuits are developed and the same has been implemented and the results are shown in MatLab/Simulink.
