Abstract: The new trends in development of modern machines and devices are determined by further need for reduction of product dimensions and weight, for quality improvement and to increase of their reliability. It is caused by the requirements of material and energy saving and by the new opportunities of creation of perspective classes of machines, mechanisms and devices based on the use of the last achievement in science and engineering. Thus the significant efforts are directed on development of micro- and nanosystems, where manufacturing is possible only at use of the appropriate micro- and nanotechniques of material processing. Alongside with the application of traditional mechanical machining special attention is paid to non-conventional methods and, in particular, to laser processing.
