Abstract: The use of electronic equipment in agricultural machinery by using these machines provides higher productivity. In addition, the use of the Internet-of-Things in logistics and agricultural equipment by optimising processes reduces harmful emissions from industrial agricultural activities. In this paper, it was aimed to provide an analysis of technology and technical means for harvesting haylage in rolls wrapped with a film in foreign countries. The cost of machines for packing haylage rolls with the film is high, and it is not always acceptable for small and medium-sized farms. The purpose of this article is the development and justification of design parameters and operating modes of the wrapping mechanism of haylage rolls' packager with stretch film in a line of simplified design, which ensures a reduction in film consumption. Theoretical studies of the working bodies of the device for packing rolls were carried out: wrapping pitch, angle of the film on the roll, angle of installation of the reel, wrapping force of the silage roll with a stretch film, and required power to rotate the wrapper ring with a tension mechanism were determined. The main parameters of the device have been clarified: diameter of the wrapper ring, its rotation frequency, speed of the feed table, and roll into the wrapper.
