Title: Paradigm shift in traditional lifestyle to digital lifestyle in Gen Z: a conception of consumer behaviour in the virtual business world

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to identify the traits of a digital lifestyle of Generation Z. The paper also investigated the activities performed by individuals that exhibit his/her digital lifestyle. The judgmental sampling technique was used to interview 348 respondents with the help of structured questionnaires. The PLS-SEM was used to analyse the constructs and validate the framework of the study. The findings indicate that the traits like shopping, banking, transacting, digital learning, and socialisation through digital platforms signify the digital lifestyle of Generation Z wherein digital socialisation and digital learning were important traits of digital lifestyle of millennium generation. Digital learning construct is a new trait of digital lifestyle that is discovered through this study and contributes to the existing literature. The contribution of this study will assist to understand the lifestyle of Generation Z in the present digital technology era. The implications of the study are discussed.
