Abstract: Recently, many organisations have taken an interest in sustainable tourism. In addition, the responsibility level is more general than the sustainability level because it measures other interesting aspects such as cultural, economic or social issues. The problem we face is how to measure this general responsibility level as there are a great deal of influential factors, and many of them are difficult to measure. Besides, it is not easy to know which factors are more important than others. In this study, we propose a fuzzy approach to measure the general responsibility level, proposing a fuzzy tourist responsibility measurement which includes environmental, economic, social and cultural factors. Moreover, responsible tourism is sustainable tourism.

Keywords: fuzzy measurements; responsible tourism; responsibility level; sustainability level; fuzzy databases; fuzzy ethics level.
