Abstract: This study aimed to bibliometrically analyse entrepreneurship from the resource-based view perspective applying the value, rarity, imitability and organisation (VRIO) model as a strategic tool. A systematic literature review, thorough bibliometric analysis, was performed through the articles obtained from the web of science (WoS) database in the period spanned ranged from 1990 to 2018. We classified the literature into five groups: (i) strategic entrepreneurship and sustainable competitiveness advantage; (ii) firm performance and internationalisation; (iii) entrepreneurial activities at university; (iv) enterprise dynamic capability and (v) strategic management processes. The literature includes no studies linking entrepreneurship and resource-based view (RBV). Furthermore, this proposes a research agenda able to serve as a basis for future research in the entrepreneurial strategy field.

Keywords: RBV; resource-based view; VRIO; value, rarity, imitability and organisation; entrepreneurship; strategy; bibliometric analysis.
