Abstract: Semantic web has recently gained a great attention due to its potential for providing a common framework that allows data sharing and reprocessed, relational databases are still the most used. To deal with the variety of modern database formats and query languages, we propose an approach to translate SQL queries into equivalent SPARQL queries for querying resource description framework (RDF) data. The main purpose is to give an extension of the Retro framework by adding a set of algorithms to improve its function. The algorithms in question deal with the conversion of the relevant SQL queries INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE and improve the SELECT query by adding the aggregate function, GROUP BY and ORDER BY in equivalent SPARQL queries and validate all translated queries on allegrograph.
