Abstract: The fundamental objective of this paper is to identify the informative knowledge and challenges of home quarantine (HQ) during coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Bangladesh. To test the effect of informative knowledge on the challenges of HQ is also considered in this study. A highly structured questionnaire has been prepared using Google form and sent to the university students through several social media such as e-mail, WhatsApp and Facebook. A total of 246 students successfully completed the questionnaire. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS-22 version) was applied to complete the data analysis procedures. The major findings showed that 75% university students of Bangladesh have a good knowledge about HQ during COVID-19 and based on their perceptions, in Bangladesh, there are some major challenges (lack of consciousness of the people, lack of basic supports from government and lack of medical and financial supports) of HQ during the period of COVID-19. In addition, the informative knowledge has significant effect on challenges of HQ.
