Abstract: In a process of continuous improvement of reducing the rates of aircraft crashes, we must examine each crash so that we will become able to take measures to prevent such accidents from happening again in the future under the same conditions. This paper uses two different crashes as case studies. This study also includes a discussion of the necessity of the FDR and CVR equipment for determining causal factors of the crashes. The major focal points in the course of following the investigative strategies of these two crashes are furnished herein, and the comparison of these crashes gives us very important insights. The most important consequence obtained in this study is, therefore, a need for emphasising the learning process from each crash and the emphasis on the implementation of deduced recommendations.
