Abstract: Existing methods for integrated switched mode power converters are mainly based on voltage controller technique, but they fail to comply with international regulatory standards (IEC 6100-3-2 and IEEE 519-1992) for class C and class D electrical appliances. Variable switching frequency current controller has been proposed in this work, owing to its features, viz. fast dynamic response, no compensation circuit and less complexity in design. Integrated converter for 100 W load operating in universal range of voltage (90-230 V), 50 Hz has been designed and implemented using MATLAB/Simulink, verified in hardware using TMS320F2812 digital processor board and thus results found to be complying with international regulatory standards.
