Abstract: The 2004 amendment of the Paris Convention provides large-scale changes aiming at a further harmonisation of the international third party liability regime. The ratification now requires the adaptation of the respective existing national law to the accomplished amendments. The submitted paper portrays the state of implementation of the 2004 revised Paris Convention in the field of third party liability in German nuclear law. It exemplifies the state of the transposition by the adoption of the new liability and coverage system and the maintenance of insurance or other financial security established in Article 7 and 10 of the Paris Convention.
