Abstract: Numerical solutions for frequency analysis of smart classic nanoplates located at viscoelastic medium are discussed by developing the Galerkin distributed strip transfer method of function. Utilising the non-local theory for piezoelectric materials and principle of Hamilton, the final equations and boundary conditions are first obtained, where external electric voltage, viscoelastic foundation, piezoelectric effect and non-local effect are considered simultaneously. Subsequently, the numerical method is developed to solve the final equations for the frequencies. Results from the model are also indicated to show the influences of non-local and viscoelastic medium and geometric dimensions on vibration responses of the plate.

Keywords: non-local piezoelectric plates; vibration characteristics; viscoelastic foundation.
