Title: Identification of critical success factors for implementation of MIS in project-based organisations and classification using Kano model

Abstract: The problem is that, in spite of the effective role of management information systems (MIS) in improving decision-making in organisations, the implementations of these systems are faced challenges. This problem is especially susceptible to project-based organisations due to their nature and uncertainty. Also, a number of critical success factors (CSFs) in implementing these systems require a good way to categorise. Therefore, due to the gap, in this research, Kano method was used. So, firstly, these CSFs of the implementation of MIS were collected and then they were analysed through questionnaires by academic experts. Then, these CSFs filtered using binomial test and the final CSFs were classified using Kano method. According to the definition of Kano, it can be said that the success of MIS implementation in the project-based organisations is realised when basic characteristics are met, functional characteristics are increased and as far as possible, attractive features can be achieved.
