Title: Intelligent autopilot drone robot for de-mossing ramped roofs

Abstract: Since their inception, drones have helped mankind perform tasks that were nearly impossible before. Sometimes, these tasks may prove to be dangerous for humans, especially when exposure to radioactive materials, dangerous chemicals, etc. are required. Some operations might require access to locations that are barely reachable to humans. While numerous examples of such scenarios may be witnessed in the industrial sector, there are a plethora of applications of drones in the domestic sector that can contribute to enhance and simplify quality of lives significantly. In the paradigm of smart cities and smart homes, robotic drones can be a key proponent. In this scientific paper the components that constitute these domestic drones as well as the technologies that are utilised are first portrayed. Further the technical details of an Arduino-based auto-pilot drone to de-moss roofs are presented. The drone would hover over horizontal or ramped roofs following a trajectory that is auto-determined according to the roof dimensions.
