Abstract: This systematic literature review (SLR) on green bonds reviews current research and stresses their importance for green transition economies. All of the study's results suggest areas for additional research and learning about green bonds as a financial instrument in green finance. SPAR 4 SLR analysed 410 Scopus-listed journal articles from 2016 to 2023. SPAR 4 SLR involves assembling, arranging, and assessing. Performance analysis shows publishing trends, prominent authors, affecting publications, top nations, journals, and linkages. The analysis shows that publications increased significantly between 2018 and 2020. It also shows green bond research themes including CO2 emissions, financial market reliance, debt capital markets, Bayesian equilibrium, voluntary disclosure, and portfolio diversification. The study reviews literature using SPAR 4 SLR, a trusted technique. Structural literature reviews' downside is that the researcher's rationale and criteria may be impacted by study bias. The analysis examines green bond research and finds a trend among experts.
