Abstract: This bibliometric paper aims to assess the body of knowledge about financial literacy and financial planning using 375 documents from 1982 to 2024 from Scopus database. Biblioshiny determines quantity and relevance indicators, evaluating publication trends, leading countries, top affiliations, authors, journals, and documents. Furthermore, VOSviewer is utilised to visualise structural indicators, such as bibliographic coupling, co-occurrence, and co-citation networks. The results indicate that the USA and India have made significant contributions to the field. The major themes revolve around financial literacy, financial well-being, financial planning, financial education, inclusion, and retirement planning. Numerous bibliometric papers exist on retirement planning, behaviour, inclusion, and financial literacy, but very few have addressed the intersection of financial literacy and comprehensive financial planning. Furthermore, by identifying research trends, gaps, and influential studies, the paper guides financial institutions in service improvement, aids governments in policy-making, and directs researchers toward impactful future studies.
