Abstract: The rapid advancement of information technology, including digital, networked, and intelligent technologies, is profoundly transforming manufacturing. Innovations such as cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and product data management (PDM) are central to this evolution and serve as a driving force behind the new industrial revolution. This paper systematically analyses intelligent manufacturing trends and examines the deep integration of manufacturing with advanced information technology, proposing two key modes: smart manufacturing (SM) and intelligent manufacturing (IM). It provides an overview of cloud ERP, MES, and PDM systems and their technological development directions. Cloud-Based Production Control systems will continue to play a vital role in the future, becoming increasingly intelligent, secure, and sustainable, thereby strongly supporting the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
