Abstract: The ever-evolving concept 'emotional intelligence' (EI), has gained a prominent attention in the modern workplace with its significant capability to predict positive workplace outcomes in the workplace and organisational success. The emotional intelligence characteristics such as acknowledging, understanding, regulating and managing emotions helps the individuals to an improved performance in the workplace, which will ultimately lead to the workplace success. The present study addresses the influence of the emotional intelligence and leadership styles adopted by them on the workplace outcome of college teachers, particularly in Kerala. The results of the structural equation modelling (SEM) performed reveals that, emotional intelligence exerts a strong as well as a significant influence on the leadership styles adopted by the teachers as well as they exerts a significant influence on the workplace outcomes of college teachers such as job performance (JP), job satisfaction (JS).
