Abstract: Balancing work and life is a never-ending issue. Today's global marketplace necessitates unwavering 'work-life commitment' in the form of conflicting professional responsibilities. Hence, maintaining a high level of work-life balance is critical to recruiting and retaining personnel in organisation. Employee attitudes, behaviours, commitment as well as well-being are also affected by this type of practise. In these modern times, ample number of business process outsourcing industries has been found in striking a work life balance so as to enhance organisational effectiveness by increasing the commitment level of employees in the organisation and at particular in their related job. However, this type of expected employee behaviour is quietly becoming a barrier to maintaining work-life balance. As a result, the effects of work-life balance on organisational effectiveness must be investigated in this context, focusing on the role of employee commitment in the association between work-life balance and organisational effectiveness.
