Abstract: The government has undertaken numerous measures aimed at empowering women, although it is unclear if they have been successful. A powerful instrument for complete empowerment necessitates financial independence and self-sufficiency, and this is only possible with financial support. In order to assess the effect of awareness and use of various welfare programs on the empowerment of minority women, the current study was carried out with this goal in mind. In Srinagar, a study was carried out using 192 women as a sample unit (96 were working women and 96 were non-working women). The sample units were chosen randomly, and a structured questionnaire was utilised to gather the primary data. To support the main goal, hypotheses are created and put to the test using straightforward regression analysis. The study discovered that minority women have relatively low levels of welfare programme awareness and utilisation, which has had a negative impact on women's overall development. This study recommended implementing awareness-raising initiatives for rural minority women to promote overall empowerment in India. The type of study was descriptive.
