Following a complaint regarding overlap with an earlier doctoral thesis, the journal conducted an investigation considering the complaint, supporting comparative documentation, the author's response, and an independent editorial assessment. The investigation identified substantial overlap between this article and the doctoral thesis “Design of a Lean Logistics-Based System Using the Independence and Information Axioms and Its Application in a Company” (translated from Turkish), completed by Engin Kurtcan in 2009.

The overlap extends beyond shared methodology and includes elements of the application study, evaluation structures, calculations, results and tables. As a result, the journal considers that the originality of the published article cannot be supported.

In accordance with the journal's publication ethics policy, the Editor-in-Chief has determined that retraction is necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
