Abstract: Finger Knuckle Print (FKP) is a recently introduced biometrics in the field of authentication. The texture and lines of FKP is unique and can be used for personal authentication. In this paper, Canny feature extraction method and sliding window matching method is applied on FKP. The proposed methods are applied on a database provided by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) FKP database consisting of 165 persons. The FKP biometrics can be used for low- or middle-level security purpose.
