Abstract: This paper deals with energy and exergy analyses and sustainability assessment of solar-based organic Rankine cycle. Using actual solar energy radiation of Isparta, performance of the cycle was assessed through energy and exergy analyses. Furthermore, variations of energy and exergy efficiencies of the studied system with evaporator/condenser pressures are illustrated. It is observed from the analysis that the energy and exergy efficiencies and sustainability index of the system are calculated as 10.6%, 69.2% and 2.8%, respectively. A working fluid R410a has been used. As a result, evaporation pressure has significant effect on both energy and exergy efficiencies.
