Abstract: This paper addresses the problem of finite-time cooperative attitude control of multiple spacecraft with a leader-follower architecture. The leader represents the desired formation attitude for the team of spacecraft and is available to only a subset of followers. Based on the terminal sliding mode control technique, a distributed neighbour-based finite-time attitude control law is proposed. Rigorous proof shows that under the proposed control law each follower can track the leader in a finite time. An example is given to verify the efficiency of the proposed method.
