Abstract: Ford|s operating philosophy of never ending improvement has resulted in a change of emphasis from defect detection defect prevention through the application of Statistical Process Control (SPC), employee involvement and training. This approach will lead to improvements in both quality and productivity that will be of mutual benefit to suppliers and Ford.
