Abstract: A two dimensional laminar boundary layer flow over an isothermal permeable flat plate with blowing and suction has been performed as similar solution for the velocity and temperature fields. The governing equations are approximated by a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations which are solved numerically by applying the shooting iteration method along with fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration scheme. The utilisation of the second law of thermodynamics is focused on the entropy generation minimisation for the optimum blowing and suction velocities on the permeable wall for Pr from 10−2 to 102 and Br, from 10−2 to 102 and the blowing/suction velocity, fw, from −1.238 to 5.
