Abstract: The loading of cargo onto railway freight wagons and its securing is a very important issue, related directly to the protection of transported goods, saving lives endangered by accidents, ensuring the safety of operations and also protecting the economic and commercial interests of the carriers. At present, there is no place or a solution where various users or railway carriers in Europe could find comprehensive information about safe and correct loading and securing of goods in means of transport. This article presents the development of an innovative multi-lingual web application focused on cargo loading onto railway wagons as an extensive database system which contains European regulations, instructions and examples, to guarantee trouble-free securing of the cargo in transport and to prevent railway accidents.
