Abstract: The peak need of alternative energy resource to utilise the demand in energy also elicited the research in the area of power inverters. The paper deals the maximum utilisation of sustainable energy (PV array systems). There are several types of inverter topology among this SL-quasi Z source inverter is utilised for the photo voltaic application, such that it has copious advantages like, voltage boosting capability, it can suppress inrush current at start-up, which might destroy the devices can be avoided. To overcome certain restrictions of the classical Z source ac-ac inverter, a derived topology called SL-quasi Z source inverter (SL-qZSI) was developed which in general imposes a lower voltage stress on capacitors. In this paper the performance analysis such as steady-state analysis, stress analysis, step response, impulse response and frequency response analysis (bode plot) has made to justify the maximum utilisation of SL-quasi Z source inverter. The analysis has done on nonlinear devices with linear equations. The system is integrated and simulated on MATLAB. To verify the performance of the proposed inverter with single leg, a laboratory prototype was constructed with 30 V dc input and an AC output line-to-line voltage of 120 Vrms. The simulation and experimental results verified that the inverter has high step-up inversion ability.
