Abstract: During the process of sugar refinery, multiple constraints are imposed by practical requirements, and the cleaning process (CP) whose control goal is acquiring high density products is very important. Owing to the complexity of the process, exogenous disturbances, etc., conventional control methods do not yield satisfactory control performance. This paper presents an intelligent optimisation control method (IOCM) with a hierarchical configuration that provides solutions for the optimisation and control of the CP, and the online monitoring of the system operation state. The actual results show that the IOCM is a proper scheme to deal with the addressed problems.
