Abstract: The growing demand for sustainable technologies and products requires new offers from manufacturing companies. One strategic approach to counter this development is the integration of products and services into Product-Service Systems (PSS). To ensure a coordinated development process of products and services, the Fuzzy Front End (FFE) of innovation is the optimal starting point. In this paper, the FFE approach is analysed in terms of PSS development. Our contribution is based on a structured, systematic literature review, providing extensive insights into the current status of PSS development in the product development process, with special focus on the FFE.
