Abstract: Modular analysis is always used to reduce the complexity in fault tree analysis. This paper proposes a method to find all the independent modules in Dynamic Fault Tree (DFT) with interdependent basic events and repeated events. This method converts DFT to dependent tree according the dependency relations of the nodes. Through the analysis of properties of each node, all independent modules and minimum independent modules can be obtained. Finally the experiment shows that this method can solve the case which cannot be solved by previous methods, and it is convenient and effective.
