International Journal of Technology Intelligence and Planning (IJTIP), Vol. 6, No. 2, 2010

Abstract: Standardised Technology Intelligence Products (STIP) have come within reach of almost any interested organisation. The question remains how this can be applied on a large scale while maintaining on-time delivery and the quality of results. This paper develops and evaluates such a standardised Technology Intelligence (TI) process. The key elements for upscaling the TI are presented and the main characteristics, benefits, and challenges are discussed. A case, drawn upon corporate experiences in light of a project with more than 200 technology analyses is discussed. A relation is established between new standardised TI processes to enable upscaling and recommendations for the future best practices.
