Abstract: The Federal Minister for Posts and Telecommunications of the Federal Republic of Germany describes the development of worldwide telecommunications services, and the regulatory changes that are opening up telecommunications to increasing competition. In the context of the development of a European Common Market for telecommunication equipment, he describes regulatory developments in the Federal Republic.
