International Journal of Computer Applications in Technology (IJCAT), Vol. 12, No. 2/3/4/5, 1999

Abstract: This paper deals with modelling and analysis of a multi-stage production system using simulation. The verification and validation analysis of the model have been carried out with the help of an example problem and data by (1) conducting a number of numerical experiments on both simulation and mathematical models, (2) comparing the results of different situations, and (3) a comprehensive simulation analysis. Different validating aspects such as conceptual, logical, experimental, operational and data have been studied with reference to the multi-stage production model.
