Abstract: Based on traditional electric vehicle motor controller topology, the proposed on-board controller adopts the form of a time-sharing multiplexing IGBT power module to expand the functions of the motor controller to simultaneously realise motor drive and battery charging. The integrated drive/charge controller structure is proposed, and its working principle is explained in this work. The mathematical model of the converter in driving and charging modes is analysed, and the control strategy in the two modes is determined. A double closed-loop structure is then designed, and PI adjustment parameters are calculated. Hardware requirements in different modes are then comprehensively considered, and parameters of the reused energy storage element are designed. Based on the calculated parameters of the PI regulator and multiplexed energy storage components, a simulation system is built in Simulink, and the simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the integrated controller.
