Abstract: In the present study, we investigated the role of person-job fit, and person-organisation fit as a predictor of managerial creativity in the retail sector of Oman. Additionally, we also tested the career commitment and psychological safety as a moderator. We collected data from 180 managerial cadre staff working in the retail sector and analysed data using the SmartPLS software. Results indicate that person-job fit, person-organisation fit, and career commitment are positively related to managerial creativity; while the influence of psychological safety on managerial creativity was insignificant. The moderation analysis indicates that career commitment strengthens the influence of person-organisation fit on managerial creativity; while psychological safety strengthens the influence of person-job fit on managerial creativity relationship. The implications of these findings are discussed.
