The recent development of smart community application in Taiwan

Abstract: Taiwan has been facing the power shortage since 1990s and continues to this day. Buildings have the highest carbon emissions. Energy saving and carbon reduction through buildings is an inevitable choice under the climate change. In 2018 Taiwan entered the old age society and the smart of architecture can improve the convenience of community residents for the aged. It is an important measure to improve the public service system and adapt to the aging of the whole society through the application of information communication technology and intelligent control system to connect the building and the community. This is in line with the current trend of smart and sustainable development in the world. This study reviews the related policies of Taiwan's smart community construction and presents the latest situation of the construction of smart community, it also discusses the multiple influence of smart community construction on Taiwan.
