Abstract: The paper presents a traffic management tool based on the concepts of IoT, GPS and Hadoop which is used to predetermine the traffic prediction of the area and based on this suggests alternative routes for the upcoming vehicle at the junction of traffic congestion. The mapping of information from the congestion area to the main server is achieved using sensor-based technology, while the data is analysed using Hadoop technology and alternative route can be determined using GPS technology. Thus, using all these technology at once, we can prevent the traffic jams at the area and also predict the traffic structure of the area. Using GPS technology, we can also suggest alternative routes to the upcoming vehicle to that particular area.
