Abstract: In order to overcome the problems of long construction time, poor critical reasonableness of indexes and low accuracy of the model in the construction of the current evaluation model of English teaching effectiveness, this paper proposes an evaluation model of English teaching effectiveness based on online education, which designs an online education platform and obtains relevant information of English teaching effectiveness evaluation through online education platform. Principal component analysis (PCA) is used to reduce the dimension of the relevant information and extract the principal components in the information. The evaluation index system of students, peer teachers and supervising experts is constructed. The evaluation model of English teaching effectiveness is constructed through three parts: attribute recognition, multi-index attribute comprehensive measurement analysis and single-index attribute measurement analysis. The experimental results show that the proposed method has high efficiency, good index rationality and high model accuracy.
