Workplace spirituality and subjective happiness at higher educational institutions: an Indian perspective

Abstract: Spirituality can be a topic of debate and discussion among people whether they are theists, atheists, monotheists, polytheists, nihilists or even absolutists or hedonists. Spirituality cannot be confined to the religion or religious believe. Spirituality at workplace is at present a reality for the organisations and not only a passion. In spite of the fact that investigation on this subject is carried but it is very nascent and requires further probing. Workplace spirituality and subjective happiness is a route to prosperity. The role of gratitude and self-esteem additionally be inspected by linking them as a moderator and mediator respectively. Data was collected utilising a structured survey questionnaire from faculty members engaged in higher educational institutions in Uttarakhand, a northern part of India. The hypothesised model was tested using structural equation displaying (SEM). Given the practical perspective, the research study provides information on work spirituality for subjective happiness. It also facilitates insight into the role of self-esteem and gratitude for cultivating happiness.
