Abstract/Summary: This paper describes a university/industry project for the development and operation of a product lifecycle management (PLM) certificate program for Boeing engineers and technologists. This collaborative project between The Boeing Company, Purdue University, Edmonds Community College, and Dassault Systemes is currently being implemented using traditional and distance learning strategies. Boeing employees will learn the strategic importance of PLM coupled with applied PLM laboratory exercises. Employees who enroll in and successfully complete this program receive a PLM certificate from Purdue University The program will be evaluated by an industrial advisory board which will include PLM subject experts, instructional system designers, distance learning experts, and curriculum evaluation experts.
