Abstract: The effect of niobium on microstructure and mechanical properties of Nb-contening cast irons, including gray cast iron, undercooled cast iron, and nodular cast iron were discussed in this paper. Besides, the application of Nb-contening cast irons was also proposed and expected in the future.
