Abstract: During the past 15 years, South Korea has embraced with gusto the internet (web) and mobile technologies, and transformed itself into one of the most wired societies and IT-based economies in the world. Seoul is blanketed with free Wi-Fi services. Smartphones have become almost bodily extensions to most Koreans. In this paper, we will examine the status of the adoption of the web and mobile technologies in Korea.
