Title: Supporting cultural education using digital concept mapping

Abstract: The paper presents an educational methodology of recording the conceptual representations of children using digital concept mapping, in order to design and implement a curriculum on cultural education in primary school. Digital concept mapping combines the advantages of the concept mapping strategy with the accessibility and flexibility of a computer-based environment in order to record and study the conceptual representations of children about a theme in order to set the proper goals and to choose the educational process. The paper presents also the result analysis which depicts the process of knowledge construction for students of the preliminary school in the field of cultural education.
