Abstract: Various experimental data can be found in the package inserts of ethical medicines, because it is mandated by the supervisory agency in Japan. This is open information and available for everyone. If we analyse the information contained in the package inserts by text mining, it is possible to evaluate the effects of the ethical medicines quantitatively. In this study, we chose antipyretic effects as sample cases. Then, we looked at the experimental background consisting of experiment method and experiment itself, to find the difference. The ethical medicine type and experimental data were summarised for each of experimental background. The effect of the ethical medicine was suggested that it was possible to narrow the effective range when extracted for each of experimental background. In the same manner, the effect's ratio between any medicines were to be inferred without direct comparison.
