Abstract: Having discussed in previous chapters the question of CO₂ accumulation and the various types of environmental feedback that pollution can induce, we turn to the interrelations between atmospheric waste disposal, capital accumulation and economic growth. There is a further extension of results in a more specific context in Chapter 8. After specifying a neoclassical growth model, which incorporates both waste flows and pollution abatement, we check for equilibrium and balanced expansion paths before and after the aggregate level of pollution is socially regulated.
