Abstract: Vibratory feeding is an important method of parts orientation and feeding in practice, which is widely used in various industries. This paper introduces the decoupled vibratory feeding system (DVFS), and describes the structural design and driving technology of it. Up to now, two DVFS prototypes have been successfully developed, and the structure of decoupled vibratory feeder (DVF) becomes more and more compact. But its application is limited, because of complex structure, occupying much space and inconvenient installation and commissioning. So the structure should be optimised. The design of electromagnet, the drive circuit and the sensor choice are the core of the drive system which should be simultaneously considered. The driving method we show in this paper is to receive analogue signal from D/A output, and then drive electromagnet through power amplifier. We also have designed a test system to test electromagnet performance and conducted experiments on the whole system.
