Abstract: This edition of News and Briefs highlights the publication of the 17th issue of the European Journal of ePractice, with a special focus on Digital Strategies for Governments and Business. It also notes the online release [http://www.donau-uni.ac.at/cedem] of the Proceedings of the International Conference for E-Democracy and Open Government (CeDEM 2012) and also iSAC6+: a unique European citizens attention service which aims to promote and deploy at the European level an innovative ICT solution (iSAC) that will enhance, through a 24 × 365 web service, the capacity of existing Citizens Information and Assessment Services (SAC) to respond to citizens attention and information requirements. Finally, the European Commission released a new strategy regarding the use of cloud computing in Europe, outlining actions to deliver a net gain of 2.5 million new European jobs, and an annual boost of EUR 160 billion to EU GDP (around 1%), by 2020.
